life lesson: from my dad: "trust but verify" (which in some respects may actually cancel out the trust part but, it sounds nicer this way)
activity: white water rafting, jet skiing, skateboarding, playing catch with my husband, tennis, watching my kids do their activities: I have a lot and I'm not good at any of them.
food: almost any pasta dish - I really love spicy red sauces lately
child raising tip: let your child be who they are: teach coping skills for the traits they have that could make life difficult and cultivate the ones that will enrich who they truly are. trying to change a child will only make them depressed, lost, and unsure of who they are.
pet peeve: slow drivers in the fast lane!!
