Thanksgiving

I was so, so sick right before Thanksgiving this year. In fact, this big day was the first day I was able to hold down food after 4 days of flu. But no way were we cancelling! Our friends from Redding were going to come and celebrate with us, but their little one got sick the morning of so it was just us, so we were really worried that it would kind of be a sad day. Surprisingly thought, Justin and I both agreed that it was one of our favorite Thanksgivings ever. The kids and J played football in the yard and Justin and Keely helped so much in the kitchen as you can see :) K made the 2 pumpkin pies and 1 gluten free crust-less pie, helped with the 2 jello salads, helped with the homemade rolls (3 dozen), and J made the carrot cake. He also brined the turkey and helped with the the mashed and sweet potatoes, and the stuffing, and the green beans...when it was all on the table and we looked around at the 4 of us we realized...

We may have panicked and gone a touch overboard on the food.... ;) oh, but it was worth all the work and super delicious!! It's funny because the picture doesn't really do it justice, but there is soooooo much food here - we were set with leftovers for over a week later :)
