Keely was very specific about wanting a Harry Potter Sleepover for her party this year...trouble is that in Utah almost no one does sleepovers...so we compromised and did a mock one
All the food was ready when the girls arrived. We had butter beer and gilly water to drink, dragon tails, chocolate and vanilla frogs, licorice wands, exploding bon-bons, magic wands, aragog jellies, every flavor beans, etc. I don't think Keely has ever eaten so much sugar
I only allowed her to invite her 5 closest friends since the party was going so late into the night. When they first arrived they got food and settled in to watch Keely's favorite; The chamber of secrets.
With so much sugar is was only a matter of time before they were running around the house actually acting out their own version of Harry Potter :) They were so cute - I gave each of them a glow in the dark wand and they each got to choose between a little bat or unicorn as their magic animal. K insisted on getting a board game, so I found Diagon Alley and they played it for about 20 min ;)
We ended the party with opening presents and eating the Hogwarts express cake (that I can truly call my first cake failure)
