Date Night

Couples
Those of you who follow my sister's blogs as well as mine will notice that they both posted their cute sushi date nights with their husbands....I think it's hilarious and yes, a little horrifying to admit what Justin and I were corraled into for our date night (thanks again Dan!)
Our wonderful friend dan gives us a call on Saturday asking us if we want to go over to his house for a little bbq with some friends and then over to the comedy club....well, it WAS date night and it sounded like fun....you would have said yes to and you know it!
The bbq was fine and then we met up with 4 other people to go to the club (I didn't understand why the girls were suprised that we were comming....why the boy I was talking to was appaled at my use of the word CLUB...or why they were worried about getting there early "because they actually had to pay" ...I mean, were they used to getting things for free - I know some girls can pull that off, but definitely not these girls...yep, we'll leave it at then)
So, we're following the car in front of us and it pulls into the parking lot of a church..?????...what the heck is going on..??? ohhhhhh!! It hits Justin just a millisecond before me......ARE WE AT A SINGLE'S WARD EVENT??!!???!! WE THOUGHT IT WAS AT A SPORTS BAR!!! NO ONE MENTIONED CHURCH BEING INVOLVED...AND ESPECIALLY NOT A SINGLE ACTIVITY!!!
Dan is super helpful as he's laughing in the back seat because he had no idea and actually thought it was at a bar.......Oh my gosh!! thank goodness our other couple friends I had invited were going to the game and couldn't make it!!!! was all I could think.......well, what would YOU have done?? we did what anyone in our situation would do.....
We hid our wedding rings in our pockets, sucked it up and tried not to make eye contact with anyone!! :) Justin made the mistake of getting up by himself to throw away the gross free cookies we had helped ourselves too.....he was almost running on the way back "do not let me get up alone again! I haven't felt like a piece of meat in over 7 years!" He hung close to me after that....and the act was funny...when we weren't terrified of being picked from the audience.....ok, let's admit it - it was just the single most ackward experience we have ever been in since being married....awww, the memories :)

Hilarious! I can't understand why nobody said anything to you guys before...didn't they realize you two were married?? Or did they think you had an "open" relationship haha!!
