Fresh freaking snow fall!! I mean, come on already - tomorrow is April for crying out loud! To be fair last easter sunday was gorgeous and maybe we were soo cranky about this morning because we've been spoiled, but whatever the reason it started off the day of crap. Next on the list was for Justin to go register our new car and for me to finish registering Keely for kindergarten (I know, crazy huh). Well, apparantly the car wouldn't pass admissions (justin was so upset, he decided not to pick up breakfast...which I was really looking forward to) and I found out that my little girl needs 2 more shots that aren't required in minnesota (her worst nightmare considering how awful last time went)...so, justin was off to the mechanic to spend who knew how much money and I had to stay and take care of my 2 little neices for a while:
This part of the day actually went ok...then Justin called for me to go pick him up...so I brushed the ridiculous amout of snow off our car, cleaned out some junk, strapped in an extra car seat and off we went. After getting J we went to the doctor's who told me it would take 5 min.....well, 1 hour later I had to remind them that we were still waiting....Keely had been really great and brave about the whole thing (after her first set of tears at the news) until it came down to actually getting it...she screamed that she didn't want one and to stop doing this to her...anyway, I got to physically force her to sit still and brace her hands like a prison warden and then carry her out to the car after as she was still crying :( We took her to the golden corral so that she could have lunch and all the ice cream and treats she wanted :) this part of the day was actually nice and then we got a call that our car was only going to cost $170 to fix...not bad, considering. So we went back to the car shop and as I was pulling out a cop followed me and ended up pulling me over for "not having insurance in his computer". Which was ridiculous, but took a good 20 min. (with 2 very unhappy children in the back) to actually confirm that yes, I did have insurance. Anyway, we made it home at 4pm and the kids played like crazy while I did "mom stuff" around the house...then I found Asher like this:
I had no idea how long he had been sitting there eating a giant bag of gummy worms! but it definitely gave him enough energy to last the rest of the night and filled up his tummy enough that he didn't want supper :) if you're wondering why his jeans are so old and ugly and go up to the middle of his shins when he stands up...his nice pants happened to all be in the washing machine when we had to run out that morning (one of the million little things through the day that added up to our craptastic day, which I won't bore you with).
I realize that the day actually turned out ok, but because we were going to spend it doing something "family fun" together..and ended up running erands and waiting around all day it felt worse than it really was. Anyway, I have to say that for this to be the worst day in my life in a while, man I still got it pretty good!! This kind of day would have been one of our good days in the past :) I hope I don't jinx all of our great blessings since last september, but I really hope this lasts a few more years... :)

It stills sounds like a crazy busy day! At least it wasn't too horrible. It's good that you can look at the positive aspects of it all! The snow put frowns on our faces too. I can't stand the "tease" of spring!!
Tonya, I was thinking in the middle of your explanation of the day that things have gotten a lot better for you if this is the worse day you have had for 6 months...it's all in your perspective, right? Count your blessings on this one!!! Love ya bunches!!! Mom
P.S. We have a snow storm coming the next two days...Minnesota!
